Cyresia

The region known as Cyresia is marked by a vast arid plateau, the Rainbow Mountains, and floodplains forming a fertile crescent. Mare Nostrum lies to the west and the Cyresian Gulf to the south.

Territory first unified under Kyros the Magnificent, who founded the Cyresian Empire and took the title King of Kings.

The Prophecy of One was revealed to the prophet Darius while he prayed atop the Rainbow Mountains.

Gyr, the first orcish colony, was founded on the western coast of Cyresia. Other groups of orcish explorers and traders departed from this mother colony and founded new colonies and trading outposts.

Conquered by Lysander the Great after his victory against the armies of Cyresia and annexed into his new Achorosi Empire.

After the death of Lysander and the civil war that split his empire, Cyresia fell under the control of Solon, one of Lysander’s former generals, and became one of the Three Shadow Kingdoms.

Under Solon’s rule, Cyresia flourished despite the loss of its eastern territories. Solon’s descendants inherited his domain, but not his aptitude for governance or warfare. The shadow kingdom declined under their misrule until it was conquered by Parsius of the Remian Republic and organized into the Province of Cyresia.
