Fyrala

Coastal lands bordering a vast desert. Villages can be found along the sandy coast and amidst the oases and dry canyons of the desert.

In the early decades after the Unmaking, the nomadic Leonin Tribe chose Fyrala for their hunting grounds, while the blue dragonborn and kobolds built settlements along the northern shore. They were soon joined by loxodon merchants, who founded their own outposts and became crucial trading partners for all peoples of Fyrala.

When the red dragonborn of Elencia attempted to invade from the north, an alliance was formed among the denizens of Fyrala which successfully repelled the invaders.

Ahar, chieftain of the nomadic Leonin Tribe, was slain by a kobold slinger in the alliance’s final push to expel the invading forces. After his death, three candidates competed for the right of succession, but no clear leader emerged. The tribe was fractured into three, with each fragment choosing the leader they found most suitable.

The largest of the three new tribes followed Tafat, the eldest daughter of Ahar, believing that she possessed the right of succession as Ahar’s eldest child and the wisest of the three successors. Tafat’s tribe remained in their ancestral hunting grounds in northern Fyrala.

A smaller group chose to follow Baya, the most distinguished warrior of the tribe after Ahar, believing that she had the right of succession as Ahar’s second in command and the strongest of the three successors. Baya’s tribe migrated north to Elencia and integrated with the people of Rathage.

Ahar’s brother Yuba was fearless in all regards. He vowed to lead his tribe to a new and more prosperous land to claim as their own. The few who followed him believed he had the right of succession as Ahar’s closest sibling and the most courageous of the three successors. Yuba’s tribe build a fleet of ships and departed Fyrala, never to be seen again.

Bolstered by the strength of Baya’s tribe and the Elencia kobolds, Rathage soon became a dominant power and claimed dominion over most of the lands that now form the province Fyrala. When Remia dealt the final blow to Rathage, Fyrala was swiftly occupied and became a province of the Remian Republic.
