The lands north of Taria are an untamed frontier. The dense forests and hills of this frontier are now territories of the Gramaic Tribes, groups of goliath that migrated from the north. The Thane River runs from the north of the Gramaic Frontier into eastern Taria and Mare Nostrum.
Not much is known of the Gramaic Tribes except that almost all are goliath and that they are ferocious raiders who attack without warning and show little mercy. Their clothing and weapons are primitive yet they are able to survive the harsh wilds of the Gramaic frontier and could pose a threat to Remia if their tribes unite.
In battle, they shout “Ver Einhar!”, possibly a rallying cry to a leader or deity.
In the year 409, the XIIIth Legion is tasked with securing the Thane and erecting a stronghold to push the Gramaic further from Taria.
